What sort of mobile phone runs AviatorCalc and Pilot Calculator software ?

You will need a mobile phone capable of running Java programs such as games. There are two specifications for such mobile phones. Nearly all new phones run the so called Java J2ME MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.0  specification or better. Older or more limited mobile phones use the Java J2ME MIDP 1.0 CLDC 1.0 specification. You do not need to know what this means but you do need to know which type of mobile phone you have.

Which type of mobile phone do I have ?

To answer this question there are a number of ways. Go to the Sun Microsystems device page and check to see what type of mobile phone you have. Alternatively download AviatorCalc for the trial period and see if it runs OK. You can of course also look at your mobile phone documentation or the manufacturer's web site to obtain this information.

You can choose the correct product for your mobile phone as shown below.

AviatorCalc runs on MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.0 or later specification mobile phones only. (Newer mobile phones). Use this software if you have mobile phone which conforms to this specification or better.

Pilot Calculator runs on both MIDP 1.0 CLDC 1.0 and MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.0 mobile phones. (MIDP 1.0 is the specification for older or more limited mobile phones). However if you have a modern telephone conforming to the MIDP 2.0 specification then you should use AviatorCalc.
