What sort of mobile phone runs AviatorCalc software ?

You will need a mobile phone capable of running Java programs such as games. Nearly all new phones run the so called Java J2ME MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.0  specification or higher. To run the GPS locator program then the MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.1 specification or higher is required.  You will need this type of phone to run AviatorCalc. Click on the Manufacturers link in the menu on the left for notes on specific manufacturer's models. Nearly all new phones conform to CLDC 1.1.

AviatorCalc also can use either a touch screen phone or a phone with a conventional keyboard and gamepad. Download the free Crosswind demonstration to test on your device. If the Crosswind demo runs then so should the full product.

Which type of mobile phone do I have ?

To answer this question there are a number of ways. See our Manufacturer's note page and see our notes on various makes of mobile telephone. A simpler way is to  download the Crosswind Demonstration and see if it runs on your device. You can of course also look at your mobile phone documentation or the manufacturer's web site to obtain this information. Look for terms like  Java or JME.

AviatorCalc runs on MIDP 2.0 CLDC 1.0 (1.1 for the GPS locator) or later specification mobile phones only. (Nearly all new mobile phones). You can use AviatorCalc if the phone conforms to this specification or better.
